Yes, you read that right! Northwest Rapid Manufacturing is now offering a wide range of color options via our ‘Dyetronic’ dyeing process.
Our engineers have spent the last few months developing a dye bath capable of coloring large SLS (selective laser sintered) parts. These proprietary ‘Dyetronic 3000′ dye vats use digital controllers to keep the water within 1 degree of set point, provide automatic agitation of the color solution, and provide extremely consistent results.
Our dying process is so good that thin wall parts will be completely permeated by the dye. Thick wall sections will see a color depth of about .025″ into the part, meaning light scratches will not expose the white nylon substrate.
